Ben Swann On “The Roots Of Police Militarization”, Sony Hack & More W/ Host Brian Engelman.

Emmy Award Winning journalist Ben Swann joined host Brian Engelman on the “Agree To Disagree” radio show to discuss his recent project: “The Roots Of Police Militarization.”

Ben recently traveled to Ferguson, MO to cover the Mike Brown case for his new gig at RT.

Ben said that one of the main reasons Ferguson was so upset was because of the past 30 years of the “policing for profit” system that targets the residents finding crime in exchange for revenue. Ben breaks this all down with concrete examples of why the police have lost the support of their employers, “the people”.

Brian & Ben also discuss:
– Eric Garner
– MRAPS in Spokane, WA
– Russian politics
– The possibility of a Jeb Bush / Hillary Clinton 2016 presidential matchup, (Ben actually hopes this happens,…he’ll tell you why)
Plus:
The Sony “hack” raises many questions about the hypocrisy of the Obama administration in how they dealt with “The Innocence Of Muslims” video that they blamed for the Benghazi attacks, & how Obama criticized Sony for shelving “The Interview”.

& Much More!

How Should We Reflect On Mike Brown’s Death & Ferguson Riots? W/ Brian Engelman & Blake Walley.

“Agree To Disagree” host Brian Engelman once again welcomes special guest Blake Walley to cover the Mike Brown / Darren Wilson verdict & subsequent riots.

– Why are so many people angry, when all they had to do was examine the evidence & see that the killing was justified?
– What kind of person would walk down the middle of the street after robbing a liquor store, then yell at a cop, attack a cop, get shot, & then attack the cop again?
– Wouldn’t most people not call attention to themselves after committing a robbery by walking in the middle of a road?
– Have you EVER walked down the middle of a road?
– If you were confronted by the police while carrying a bag of weed & stolen cigars, wouldn’t the natural reaction be to run instead of attack?
– Doesn’t it seem like Mike Brown was a criminal out looking for trouble, & he found it?
– If so, why are some calling the cop the bad guy for protecting the community?
– If the body was left in the street, uncovered for 4 hours, it is easy to understand how a community could be upset about that.
– Why wasn’t the National Guard protecting all of the businesses that were looted & burned to the ground?
– Did President Obama pressure the Governor to keep the Guard back?
– Should Obama have spoken on Ferguson sooner?
– Should Obama have traveled to Ferguson on the day of the verdict to call for calm?
– In what ways is this case similar to the Trayvon Martin / George Zimmerman killing?

& much more.

Agree Or Disagree W/ Kobe Bryant On Trayvon Martin: “You sit and you listen to the facts.”

“The Unhappy Hour” host Brian Engelman covers the recent comments from Kobe Bryant about the George Zimmerman self-defense trial:

“I won’t react to something just because I’m supposed to, because I’m an African-American,” Bryant said. “That argument doesn’t make any sense to me. So we want to advance as a society and a culture, but, say, if something happens to an African-American we immediately come to his defense? Yet you want to talk about how far we’ve progressed as a society? Well, we’ve progressed as a society, then don’t jump to somebody’s defense just because they’re African-American. You sit and you listen to the facts just like you would in any other situation, right? So I won’t assert myself.”

Why are some police officers so quick to jump to an unnecessary escalation of force?

Brian believes that the former Fullerton, CA police officers should have been convicted for the murder of Kelly Thomas.

Do you “Agree Or Disagree”?

His name,…was Kelly Thomas.

“Agree To Disagree” host Brian Engelman once again welcomes special guest Blake Walley.

Do You “Agree Or Disagree” With The Zimmerman Self Defense Verdict? Blake Walley & Brian Engelman.

“Agree To Disagree” host Brian Engelman once again welcomes special guest Blake Walley.

They answer the question: “Do you agree or disagree with the Zimmerman self defense verdict”?

– What will happen when George Zimmerman sues NBC for editing the 911 tapes to make him appear to be a racist which inflamed the country & divided our nation?
– How does the violence in Chicago fit into the equation?
– Since George Zimmerman took a black girl to prom & mentored & tutored black youths, why did the media continue to portray this man as a racist despite a complete lack of evidence to substantiate that false narrative?
– Was the effort of Eric Holder & the Obama administration to inject race into this trial really an attempt to “brainwash” people in a sneaky attempt to further restrict the 2nd amendment rights of Americans to protect ourselves?
– Will the nationwide “Justice For Trayvon rallies be a non-violent & civil expression of 1st amendment rights, or devolve into a version of the recent movie “The Purge” where: “a 12-hour period legalizes any and all crime ” to let out growing societal pressure.
& more.
