W/ LeBron & Andy Injured, Is Blatt On Hot Seat For Cavs? Could LBJ Leave Again? Brian & Zak Discuss.

“The Unhappy Hour” host Brian Engelman once again welcomes lifelong Cleveland sports fan, & NBA consultant Zak Baris to the program to discuss the Cleveland Cavaliers season thus far.

– LeBron James is now taking two weeks to rest his knee & back. How concerned should we be about his health, & durability?
– After the LeBron/Dwayne chat on Christmas, many people are speculating that James could leave Cleveland again next year. Especially after a “leaked” story had James making the best business decision, even if that means leaving the Cavs. Is there really a scenario where LeBron would bail on Cleveland yet again???

– How certain is it that both Kevin Love, & David Blatt will return next season?
– How much will the Anderson Varejao injury end up hurting the Cavs?
– Could the Cavs end up regretting the Andrew Wiggins trade?

& Much more!

– Is it time to get rid of both Johnny Manziel AND Josh Gordon?
– If so, where might they land, & what kind of compensation might they receive in return?
– In hindsight, who should the Browns have drafted? (especially since Justin Gilbert has proven to be an ongoing problem).
– Who were the standouts in 2014 for the Browns, & who should they target in the draft & free agency?

Whose Blood is on Whose Hands? The Eric Garner Decision Edition!

There has been quite the blame-game in New York following the execution of two Brooklyn police officers, but who is really at fault?

Mayor de Blasio? Sure, there are plenty of reasons to criticize him and his policies, and the city would probably be better off with someone else running it. But as far as the recent shootings were concerned… what could he realistically have done differently? Do you sincerely believe that the killings were caused by de Blasio’s so-called “climate of mistrust?”

Let’s think about it another way: Let’s pretend you are the Mayor of New York, and you have an opportunity to prevent the shootings from happening… except there’s a catch: you won’t have any idea of who, where, or when. All you know is that two cops will die in retaliation for the Garner verdict. So how would you stop the shooting? Make the police stay home? Prohibit protesting? Declare Martial Law? Put the whole city under lockdown? Or would an overreaction risk a far worse outcome? The point is, how could you possibly micro-manage that many moving parts in a city of 8 million people? Can we sincerely blame this all on the Mayor? Even if we really want to?

How about the supposed “black leaders” like Al Sharpton? He certainly plays a role in the overall problem…

N. Korea Behind “The Interview” / Sony Hack A Literal “Wag The Dog” Move Toward Internet Regulation?

“Agree To Disagree” host Brian Engelman once again welcomes author, liberty activist, & radio host Blake Walley to discuss some of the stories that you might have missed between Christmas, & the first week of the NFL playoffs.

– Isn’t it interesting that “conspiracy theorists” were the ones who urged caution when blaming North Korea for hacking Sony?
– Is a literal “Wag The Dog” scenario playing out before our eyes?
– Is there enough evidence linking North Korea to the hack to place sanctions on them, attack their internet, and ratchet up a wartime atmosphere?
– Could the hack be used to ram through internet regulations that will restrict the 1st amendment rights of Americans?
– Should we be wary?

Also:
– 2 cops were shot dead in NYC in an appartent revenge killing for Eric Garner. How much blame should fall on mayor de Blasio, Al Sharpton, Eric Holder, & President Obama?
– Do record temperatures provide evidence for “global warming” or “climate change”?
– Could low gas prices be a warning of potential trouble lurking around the corner?

Ben Swann On “The Roots Of Police Militarization”, Sony Hack & More W/ Host Brian Engelman.

Emmy Award Winning journalist Ben Swann joined host Brian Engelman on the “Agree To Disagree” radio show to discuss his recent project: “The Roots Of Police Militarization.”

Ben recently traveled to Ferguson, MO to cover the Mike Brown case for his new gig at RT.

Ben said that one of the main reasons Ferguson was so upset was because of the past 30 years of the “policing for profit” system that targets the residents finding crime in exchange for revenue. Ben breaks this all down with concrete examples of why the police have lost the support of their employers, “the people”.

Brian & Ben also discuss:
– Eric Garner
– MRAPS in Spokane, WA
– Russian politics
– The possibility of a Jeb Bush / Hillary Clinton 2016 presidential matchup, (Ben actually hopes this happens,…he’ll tell you why)
Plus:
The Sony “hack” raises many questions about the hypocrisy of the Obama administration in how they dealt with “The Innocence Of Muslims” video that they blamed for the Benghazi attacks, & how Obama criticized Sony for shelving “The Interview”.

Sony Hack: “It Doesn’t Quite Add Up.” Cyber Security Expert Aaron Bedra Joins Host Brian Engelman.

Software writer & information security professional Aaron Bedra joins “Agree To Disagree” host Brian Engelman to discuss the Sony hack.

Aaron says:
“My gut feeling is that there’s not enough information to say it’s absolutely North Korea”

Brian & Aaron discuss
– how long attribution takes to figure out where a hack came from,
– what kind of fingerprints do hackers leave behind.
– Is the smoking gun in this case the nationality of the computer involved?
– Does this attack amount to terrorism? (threats to theatres)
– Is is strange that North Korea didn’t take credit for the attack?

Plus: could this “hack” be a precursor to trying to implement another cyber security bill similar to CISPA, SOPA, PIPA, or ACTA?

& a whole lot more.
