– A man in New Mexico was given 3 enemas & a colonoscopy because police said he was acting “suspicious”, so he sues & wins 1.6 million in round one, with other plaintiffs yet to settle or lose their case. GOOD FOR HIM!
– Homeless man Kelly Thomas is beaten to death by the Fullerton, CA police, and the 2 police officers facing murder charges were found “not guilty”. Were the members of the jury afraid or intimidated into their verdicts?
– Adam Kokesh receives a suspended sentence & is now a free man again.
– Benghazi answers are still missing more than a year after the attack that killed 4 Americans.

In this episode of the Lions of Liberty Podcast, I am joined by Brian Engelman, founder of The New American Media and host of the weekly “Agree to Disagree”. We discuss the tragic case of Kelly Thomas, the mentally disabled homeless man beaten to death by police in Fullerton, CA, and examine the details of this horrific injustice, and attempt to make sense of how a jury could find the perpetrators of this crime “not guilty.” Before that, we talk about why it’s important to take risks and not be afraid of failure in life, and how this philosophy led us both to our respective projects.

– A judge has just overruled a previous ruling about the NSA bulk collection 4th Amendment violations. Apparently it is now o.k. to ignore the 4th Amendment according to today’s latest ruling. The ACLU promises an appeal, and it seems likely this will end up in front of the Supreme Court. How in the world can it be so difficult to comprehend the simple language of the fourth amendment? Will the Supreme Court protect the people if / when they hear this case?

– A&E has now decided to bring Phil Robertson of “Duck Dynasty” back into their program. What does this mean for religious freedom & freedom of speech?
