Post Keys to Victory: Browns vs. Bengals

First of all, let's take a minute to look at the last game against the Jaguars:

The Browns did just enough to get a win at the end versus Jacksonville, but if you were watching the game, you could see that it was the Browns who played the best football on Sunday. They were more effective and balanced on offense, the defense played a better game, and the special teams didn't do anything too terrible, if you don't count the questionably missed field goal by Dawson. They dropped two easy interceptions, otherwise this game would have been even more of a win by the Browns. It's just a shame that they almost blew it.

Now, onto the Bengals:

1.) Revenge, anyone: The Bengals really screwed us week one, and this is a great time to get back at them. Remember, at the beginning of the season, we were supposed to be the better team, according to people that know football. Now, people who know football say the Browns are a lot further away than the Bungles. A little taste of Cincy's own medicine would be a great way to show that we're still relevant.

2.) A running game again?: Ogbannaya has had a couple of pretty good games last few weeks, and has shown a little promise. Hardesty is supposed to come back this week. Maybe people will start respecting our runners a little more, leaving things open for the passing game.

3.) McCoy has looked better, against inferior teams: Colt has played solidly last few weeks, with the exception of a poor throw in the red zone that resulted in a pick. However, they are not playing a team jostling for draft position. Yet, the Bengals secondary are not the 2000 Baltimore Ravens. They can be exploited. If the line holds, as it has done a better job of lately, and if the receivers can find some space, maybe he can continue to look servicable.

Final Prognosis: The Bengals broke our hearts earlier this year. Maybe we can do the same. How 'bout a pick 6 for Haden? He dropped an EASY one last week. I'll go 23-20 Browns. Dawson wins the game.

Brandon, I'm glad you got to attend a Browns victory last Sunday!
The Jags made it a close game, but as you mentioned, the D needs to pick off the passes when they get the chances. If they do that, perhaps we win by 2 or 3 touchdowns instead of a last second play.
We need to take advantage of the miscues of other teams and capitalize on the chances to make big plays during the season.
I just have to mention, that with a win here on Sunday, the Browns are still in the Wild Card hunt in the AFC.
Just sayin.
To respond to your keys to victory:

1) That first game Ben-Gals vs. Browns was horrible. So many wasted opportunities & miscues. I think we are due to smack the division rivals and earn a season split with Cincy with a win this Sunday.

2) Is Obi's recent 100 yard days due to his talents, or the offensive line finally getting their act together? Either way, I'm wondering if Peyton Hillis' hamstring might make a miraculous recovery in the next few weeks. Kudos to Chris Ogbannaya. He's our 4th running back, and has about 200 yards in 2 games. Not too bad.

3) Colt needs to throw some more jump balls to Cribbs, & get the ball to his damn tight ends. We have mismatch opportunities at TE, and need to utilize them.

I envision a 38-13 win by the Browns. (Wouldn't it be nice to see 5 touchdowns by the Browns O, & a stingy D?)

I would love to even the season series with the Bengals. That first game of the year was a disaster. We owe them one.
