Post Keys to Victory: Browns vs. Steelers

Well, things are bad in Brownstown, but what else is new? About the Ravens:

1.) We really lost the physical battle. Ray Rice made sure of that, and the holes that were opened for him all day by the offensive line were massive. The Browns are in major trouble if they can't stop anyone.

2.) Flacco was largely kept in check, but whenever he really needed to make a play, he did. Once again, Ray Rice was carrying the offense, so Flacco really wasn't needed.

3.) Ray Lewis didn't play. Didn't matter.

Onto the Steelers:

1.) Roethlisberger: He has destroyed us before, and will likely destroy us again. Our early season sack machine has been largely absent of late, and if we can't get the likes of Sam Bradford and Blaine Gabbert to the ground, we're definitely not getting anywhere close to Big Ben. If we can get some kind of pressure, can the DB's keep the receivers in check?

2.) A Tale of Two Defenses: Both are highly ranked. However, one is good, one is so-so, at best. If you're still not sure which is which, look at the records. The Browns did a halfway decent job of blocking for Colt, but trust me, the Steelers will be coming hard.

3.) Who are our Playmakers?: Hillis, Cribbs, anyone else? Cribbs didn't even get one play set for him on Sunday, and Hillis was largely ineffective and nonexistent once it was deemed that the Browns would be playing catch-up. His 52 yard pass was an aberration.

Final Prognosis: The Browns get lit up again, but this time, it's worse: 42-10. Garbage time touchdown.

Yes, it's been another difficult season in Believe-Land.

I'm wondering why our running game is so inept. Is it the linemen, the linebackers, the playcalling? What?
This has been a consistent problem.

I'm expecting a 23-21 win by the Browns.

No, I don't have any good reason, but it's always good to mentally think about defeating the Steelers.

I might have other thoughts after this game 🙁

Nice scramble by McCoy for a TD to give the Browns a 6-0 lead vs. the Steelers!

The Browns really needed to go for the touchdown from the 1 yard line. Shurmur needs a killer spirit. Can't coach heart!
